Troy Barbour

I joined David Allen in 2021 as an Accounts Assistant and I haven’t looked back.  Fully supported by my team, I have successfully completed my AAT Level 2, 3 and 4 qualifications and would like to become a Chartered Accountant.

What drives me is helping our clients. I take real pride in building trusted relationships and being the person they can turn to for clear, practical advice, especially when things feel complicated or overwhelming.

My dedication and commitment to the firm was recognised in 2024 when I was promoted to Accounts Senior within the team.

Outside of work, I really enjoy getting involved with my community.  I am a self-proclaimed Robert Burns enthusiast, having been reciting work since I was young.
One of the greatest awards I had the honour of receiving was being the Young Burnsian of Scotland in 2015 and the Best Verse Speaker of Scotland in 2018.  I can’t wait for January to come back round so I can get back out and do what I enjoy best.

I was also Cornet for Sanquhar riding of the marches in 2024.
