We moved IT providers in February 2020, we had heard good things about David Allen IT Solutions and after a discussion with Director, Gary Martin, it was clear they understood our needs and they could fulfil the brief we provided.
The team supplied and installed a full IT system including a new server with VPN access along with a new Telephony system. This enabled us to set up our employees to work remotely and was implemented with an exceptionally smooth transition from our previous supplier. The installation could not have come at a more important time; due to the Coronavirus pandemic all staff have successfully worked from home since March.
The new Gamma Horizon VOIP telephone system facilitates with flexible remote working with a wide range of features, wherever staff are operating from. It enables users to take their profile, settings, numbers and preferences with them, to ensure consistency and be readily available to colleagues and customers.
Action with Communities in Cumbria are the Rural Community Council for Cumbria; we champion rural issues and have been supporting communities since 1948. We stand out for our support to Village Halls and Community Buildings.
The Coronavirus Pandemic has prevented our staff from having face to face meetings and attending events with the communities that we support. However, thanks to our new IT system we are now using Microsoft Teams for our online meetings and Team channels are helping remote workers stay connected. We are now exploring new ways of working for the future.
From our first meeting with Gary, to the contact with the IT Support team we have received nothing but a fantastic service.
