Thomas Graham & Sons Ltd, established in 1892, provide steel and industrial supplies from their locations across the North of England for customers all over the UK.

Cisco Meraki switches were chosen to provide the core and access network switches, to allow for seamless integration with the existing firewall and wireless solutions. For storage, the Dell PowerStore system was selected, with its high-performance capabilities and excellent data compression features, allowing the business to efficiently store large volumes of data.
By working with Thomas Graham’s IT team, David Allen IT Solutions were able to combine their specialist IT expertise with the in-house team’s understanding of the business, to design a solution that did exactly what was required.
Once approved, the DAIT team led the procurement of equipment to secure the best pricing for the business and managed the end-to-end sourcing process, allowing the TG team to focus on supporting their business.
When it was time to deploy, the DAIT and TG teams worked together, building and configuring the new infrastructure based on the detailed designs, with minimal disruption to the wider business. Switch replacements, storage provisioning and virtual machine migrations were all delivered, with the TG team empowered to continue to operate the new systems going forward.
With the completion of these upgrades, the business has the perfect platform to continue to grow as a prominent business in the area.
