In recent weeks, they have been on site at the Border Motor Group Dumfries to upgrade the laptops within the vehicle service department to Windows 10, and to upgrade the ODIS software to the latest version.
It is essential that we have proactive IT support to help maintain our key systems such as the Volkswagen Group diagnosis software, Offboard Diagnosis Information System (ODIS).
A wireless dongle is connected inside a vehicle and transmits data back to the laptop which is on the computer network. The diagnostic laptop communicates with the Volkswagen Group factory database every time it is connected. The system helps diagnose vehicle faults, allowing for fast repairs and a quick turn around on servicing.
As well as our software, David Allen IT Solutions support our network infrastructure, business telephony and hardware support. This support helps our users to access Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and access dealer portals for updates or news from manufacturers, as well as other key systems, including email.
